Alrighty…caterpillar update: I noticed it shedding its skin today in its yellow webby thingy. Underneath, it’s a lovely lime green and smooth…and I think that’s the pupa! I Googled the life cycle of moths to have an idea of time frames, since I don’t know anything about these things. They said 1-2 weeks before the winged thing emerges, depending on temperature. I also looked at a few pics I’d taken. Not too good and I reckon the cam’s focused on the plastic box and not the thing just beyond. I tried manual focus today and it’s better. So manual focus from now on. Weird using manual focus on the LCD but I reckon it’s surer in this instance, than relying on the autofocus.
I’ll sort out the pics I’ve taken (which first involves some major weeding) and hopefully have a short sequence of “the process” to upload tomorrow.
