I didn’t hang around after I uploaded yesterday but I did catch the very first comment by martinjp. And I was like, “Nnnooo…now everybody’s gonna guess chandelier and they’re all gonna be right!”

As it turned out, only a few were right with chandelier/light fixture Smile

-----

Ok…so I’m basically a country bumpkin who goes ooh and ahh whenever they enter a fancy hotel. My bro and fam had taken us out for a buffet lunch on my younger nephew’s birthday (he turned 12 on June 11th). The parents and I arrived early (as is my habit) and I – in fine form – oohed and ahhed with Ixus in hand.

There’s this circular lift lobby with six lifts, three on each side in a curve. In the middle the ceiling goes way up and this loooooong chandelier hangs.

Yesterday’s pic was taken with me standing right under it and looking up. [Unfortunately no champagne involved, Lynne Wink ]

Here are two pics of the chandelier. The reddish-maroonish ruffly stuff are curtainy fabric type things.

-----

Alrighty…just one more shot in this mini series to come tomorrow.

Andrew

Fabulous - the sort of thing that only a hotel or cruise ship can get away with. I thought it might be a light fitting but it seemed a bit over the top!

I knew all along what it was Andrew,
as I have one just like this in my bedroom.
And as for the questions about cleaning it,
no problems there,as I get a French maid in to do it !!
