Huge thanks to Matt (Herge88) for his User Award on ‘Fluffay Puppay’.

Can’t believe it. I mean, that was just a fun upload…then bam! Grin

Equally huge thanks to Jennnn (taggart) for her User Award on ‘Isn’t Nature Amazing??’

I’m still not used to getting UAs and all this is quite amazing Smile

-----

Now then…here are two unserious uploads too.

I was on the phone in the living room a couple of days ago and looking out the window. There was this branch sticking out horizontally. The leaves looked kinda nice hanging down like that with the mix of greens and browns and the curliwurliness and whatnot. So after the call, I snipped the branch and brought it in and took a shot of it against white paper.

V2 is something from today. Of course I’d seen road sweepers before but I don’t recall seeing any with so many cables and stuff exposed! We were at a red light and the truck was one lane away with no car in between. I zoomed in fully, wound down the window and took the shot. I like that warning sign at the top right: “No Jumping For Joy Over Square Manhole Covers”…

…or it might mean something else. I invite suggestions Grin

Andrew

PS Someone asked me what breed Fluffay Puppay is and I have no idea. Anyone out there knows?

First of all, I just love v1!! Wonderful artistry Andrew!!
Secondly, I love your interpretation of the danger sign. You really must know that these signs are not to have fun poked at them Andrew SmileSmile - but what it could mean escapes me!!! Smile I think your explanation sounds just perfect. Wink

V1 Andrew...definitely! You've made such a simple thing look amazing, the crisp white bg just 'makes' the image. What a shame I only get one UA a week to give out :-(

Love the mish mash of cables here Andrew.
And didn't you hear ?
Jumping over manholes is the new sport to be added to this years Olympics.
They are hoping Fatima Whitbread will enter, fall down the manhole,
and weld it shut for ever !!
Good shots.

V2 looks like someone just made it up out of old junk. What a great find. Grin
And the line of leaves in V1 is amazing. How clever of you to spot it and then think to photograph it so well.Smile

I like the silly sunday safety sign in v2 Andrew it made me smile. The Japanese must have some of the daftest signs though if some of the pics my mate Mossy aka Panda takes on his holidays are typical. I also like the line up in v1 it leaves much to the imaginationSmile I see that Mick is on top form again, I hope for his sake that Fatima doesn't visit Edinburgh anytime soon, I wouldn't want to be in his shoes if she catches him!Wink

Great row of leaves, Andrew. Maybe you like the shadows, but if you'd taken it with the wall further away, you'd have had a clean background.

As for V2, how about, "No feet to be placed beneath brushes for quick shoeshine".

Doggy?
Is it a Bichon Frise?
Is it a Lhasa Apsu?
I leave it to you.

can't possibly choose here, no1 is a very artistic, beautifully rendered shot in your own white style..
and as a lover of weird contraptions and machinery I absolutely love no 2.
