I have no idea what this flower is (which is shameful since I'm a flower nut) but it's pretty, isn't it? Turned it into my wallpaper. It's only about an inch across (the flower, not my wallpaper).
Good head on shot.I may of used a slightly off set angle.
Thanks for the MOD,i like black but yours works well.
Awww...thanks, Kim. I'll use an offset angle the next time. I usually do for flowers unless I'm trying to capture symmetry or pattern. For this one, I didn't really think about what I was capturing and just thought, "Hmm...lemme see how close I can get with this new camera of mine" (lol). When (if) it blooms again, I'll take it again with your suggestion.
Stunning colour and lovely details, well caught.
Thanks, Karen. I just went into your portfolio to have a looksee - WOW, by the way - and interestingly enough, I'd voted for your blue mason bee yesterday!
As for my purple flower...hmm...I'd boosted the contrast by 20% or so...which I don't know if I should've done. The original (my wallpaper) has more delicate shades of lilac and lavender and such. This one's more bluish and stronger. I DO like the colours...but still.
Never mind. I'll leave this one here for now and not be so trigger happy with the contrast the next time! Live and learn, eh??
