First off, a big and belated THANK YOU to Pamela (pamelajean) for her wonderful User Award on the last Silly Sunday upload Ė the chilli bite one. Well chuffed with that Grin

Thoroughly appalled with myself, though, that I didnít mention this in my previous (little bug) upload. Bah Sad

Many thanks to all who commented and voted on the little bug, by the way Smile

Now thenÖhereís a simple shadow shot from a shopping mall.

What do you reckon? Colour or BW first?

I canít decide and Iím curious what your eyes feel.

It's the kind of image which I reckon really works to perfection as a mono!

Such a great point of view, a little curve on the railings, against the straight lines of the steps, so well seen.
It's the colour version for me, not simply because I prefer images in colour, but because the eye goes directly to the strength of the run of deep strong shadows, and the colour is "in the background", subtle and unobtrusive, but it gives the image that little bit of a lift.

I think the shadows look stronger in the mono Andrew.
The colour distracts from them a bit I think !!

Both versions work well Andrew but it is the mono that has more impact IMHO.
