Major thanks to Eric (BlueRoom) for bestowing his Blue Diamond upon yesterday’s upload Smile

-----

Now then…shyness to approach strangers is an annoying thing for candid/street photography…even when the subject is not them.

I was walking through a wet market when I noticed this soft toy sheep (I know it’s a ram but sheep are cuter) hanging in a halal butchers’. Just couldn’t bring myself to ask if I could take a shot. My dad’s little compact was in my pocket at the time too! Hm.

So off I went and did some other shopping…during which time I told myself to stop being a wuss and just go for it. So I sacked up and went back to the place. The man I asked (not in the photos – he was off to the left doing stuff) was all too happy for me to do so SmileSmile Not only that, after I took V2, he said the sheep would look better head-on, not profile. He told the guy in red to turn the sheep for me. Guy in red reached up and dutifully did so Grin

Who needs fiction when real life can give us gems like this? It's a grim grey, wet day here, I'm hugging a hot water bottle and snuffling all over my keyboard. I needed a good laugh!
This is going to get an awful lot of sheepish jokes. I think that's in very baaaaaad taste.

Good on you Andrew!
Not sure hanging fluffy toys up in a butcher's shop is good for business though. Grin

Firstly, congratulations on your bravery in returning to get the shots! I would not have been so brave I'm afraid.
Great images Andrew, especially V1 which works well in mono.

So we have something in common. I don't like asking either, because I am always afraid, that people could missunderstand why I want to take a pic. People often don't see what I see... or they might not know, that photographers are sometimes silly. Smile
Well done - it is a fine subject. Love it.

I had some serious trouble finding the UA button while my iPad was shaking with giggles.
Have learnt the non- shy approach in Southhall! That was my first ever Asian shopping mall asking experience.
May I take a picture of your beautiful shop?
What for ( suspicious) ?
I want to convince my best friend/ mum... Fill in what you like ... to come here!
Or
I have never seen anything like it! Amazing, so beautiful!
