...hope you all haven't been up to too much mischief while I've been away. Says the nanny with stern hands on hips and tight bun. The one on the head, people, the one on the head! Sheesh...get your minds outta the bakery, will ya?
NOW THEN...thanks so much for the response to my dragonfly and I gotta tell you, I've tried manual focus several times since then and they've all been iffy. So I must've been REALLY lucky with the dragonfly to have clicked at just the right distance. Must practice, though. It's not too easy judging focus on the LCD. If there was a split screen focusing system like in my old film SLRs, that would be more definitive. Never mind, must still try to milk this 'cos manual focus seems to get me closer than the AF does in macro mode. AND it blurs the background smoother, which is another major point. When I eventually get a DSLR, manual focus via viewfinder will be surer, I reckon.
ALSO...thanks, Ann (thorn), for the mods on Nature Weeps. Love 'em. And more importantly, thanks for signing 'em with my initials and reminding me of what we talked about
Alrighty, people, I've been spending a lot of time with family last week, especially my nephews, which is why I haven't been around. Full days saw me conking out at like 9pm which is well before I normally hop on the computer. I've taken loads of pics in my absence (300+) which are still in the cam...just shows how neglected my poor computer's been
Now gimme a couple of days to catch up on all your pfs and PMs but in the meantime, here's something which was shortlisted in the 'Nature' competition. I'd entered the dragonfly and this shell close-up. I received good luck wishes on the comp for the dragonfly but that didn't place anywhere, unfortunately. Thanks so much for the wishes, by the way. Big time
This murex close-up was shortlisted so I thought I'd share it with you.
Back in service soon, people.
PS Listening to this track now. Love it. Thought I'd share it with you.
