This Buddleia bloom along the driveway caught my eye this afternoon. I liked how the inflorescence was only two-thirds open and still “in progress”.
It was slightly overcast this afternoon too, so the light wasn’t too harsh.
The light actually looks perfect for the white flower, Andrew, which as you know can be problematic in bright sunshine. You are getting very horticultural with your "inflorescence".

A beautiful captuure, Andrew, looking foward to another image of the same buddleia, but with a butterfly on it Carol
Sharp and beautifully captured against that oof bg. Nifty presentation too. Excellent image, Andrew.
Blimey, that's a big word for a sunny afternoon!
Like Carol says - butterfly next time.
Soon have the butterflies there too lovely capture
Fresh, clean, spring tones.
Very good white tones Andrew and I am sure once it is in full bloom it will attract the butterflies - keep your eye on it Carole
beautiful shot of this lovely buddleia andrew.eve.
This is a gorgeous image, you have shown it to perfection against the dark background.
I agree with Pamela that the light is perfect for this photograph, if it had been brighter the white could have been burnt out. The clarity and dark background is excellent
