I'd overlooked this one on my first selection to process - so glad I found it! You can see how close they were to our vehicle - this was taken at 100mm. He was part of a small herd of elephant going down to the River Luangwa and on the bank of the river was quite a large pride of lions feeding on a buffalo. The minute the lions saw the elephants they stopped feeding at exactly the same moment and watched the elephants' progress to the water. The matriach of the herd stopped and trumpeted a warning to the lions to keep away, the elephants continued to the water and the lions kept on feeding. It was one of those magical wildlife moments it was a privilege to witness.
Thanks for looking and for any comments and/or criticisms.
Many thanks to Nezih (nonur) for his UA for Stooks!
