I haven't uploaded and Saturday Shadows for a while so here are some images of a phenomenon that occurs when there is strong, direct sunlight through our bedroom window in the morning. The clarity of the lacy shadows is dependent on how close the Begonia leaf is to the curtain, the closer the leaf, the sharper the shadow.

It is a visual feast that constantly changes, so capturing it was fun and challenging, especially as I did it with two curious German Shepherds in close attendance. Hand held with my macro lens, various settings tried. Thanks for looking and I hope you like at least some of them.

No favourite John, just grateful when I manage to capture anything at all with the ever changing light! You know what it is like, you set up the shot and the moment you click the light changes, the curtain blows in the breeze or a German Shepherd nose intrudes into the image!

Good grief...Vs 1, 6, 7 and 9 are stunning, Lynne. I gotta say I've never seen shadows 'printed' on leaves like this before seeing yours. And I have no idea what's going on in V10 with those little blobs, but I like it!

By the way...

Quote: ...or a German Shepherd nose intrudes into the image!

...too funny GrinGrin

For me V1 is the absolute winner here. Followed closely by V9.

I have lots and lots of images that feature German Shepherd noses!

12 lacy uploads Lynne and not a pair of frilly knickers in sight !!
I suppose the nearest to them will be the red pair in V10.
They must belong to Eve,as Adam has laid his fig leaf on top of them.
Dunno what the two German shepherds and their sheep are doing in attendance,
but I hope V10 was an image their noses did NOT intrude into !!
Mick.

Amazing images, excellently done. You know, our local club's competition submission is structure this week. I thought of putting a leaf under the light to get the structure out.. but I was being lazy, never did it, instead I submitted the Leeds market roof outside Barbara's shop... This is closer to the beautiful 'thing' is my mind...I love the red colour one...very artistic.

What a fabulous set Lynne, such wonderful intricate details, pattterns and light caught through these leaves which has really accentuated their beautiful colours. You've really excelled yourself here although I think Mikbee and Lifesnapper were probably disappointed that these were not the type of lacy shadows they'd hoped to see!Grin
