First and foremost, a massive and humble thanks to Herman for his UA for 'The Awakening'.I'm still pinching myself and as chuffed as nine pence as well as skipping around like a 6 year old.

Thank you all for taking the time to view and comment on my 'The Awakening' it is very much appreciated.

Although these are again depicting the sunrise in Costa Te Guise, the little speck you see is an Kayaker, obviously suffering from insomnia, but who wouldn't want to paddle out to great the sun.

Please enjoy these images and as always I would appreciate your comments and advice.

Astounding colours!! What an awesome image.

I especially love the colours reflected in the water.

Well done Smile

Andrew

PS For me it's the uncropped version in V4...followed very closely by V1.

Hey that's what I am enjoying at the moment....not the sunrise...the merlot...
Lovely colours Tish, well done...I was just reading about a guy on a kayak yesterday in Jeffries Bay who tried to beat off a Great White shark bigger than his kayak that had attacked a guy snorkeling, sadly he couldn't save the man.

Although the kayaker isn't very visible in V4, Tish, that's my favourite, with the golden strip of sky being sandwiched between the dark sky above and water below. The other one that works for me is V3, with no dark areas showing, quite dreamy. Vs 1 and 2 have too little of the darker areas showing for good balance. Beautiful sunrise, striking contrasts in colour.

I do like the strong vibrant colours of 1 and 4 ~ well composed too. 2 and 3 to my eye have been over enlarged.

Tish, to me this image stands out more to me than any with direct sun positioning in the shot. But this is my own preference.........it allows subjects to stand out better and I always think the colours look more dramatic. You have done this very well here and I very much like this image. The sky looks stunning.

Paul.
