This tree had fruits that look like large ripe melons hanging down...
Anyone know what kind of fruit is it? Never seen anything like it!

I Googled Seychelles fruit images Isabel,and the nearest I could see was a ''Dr_Acher'' !!
No help there I am afraid.It might have been a Dr Acher that took the pic !!
Good shot of what looks like a great big melon to me !!

Certainly looks like a melon, but their growing habit is to creep on top of the earth, and not climb! Would love to know what it is. Carol

Amazing looking fruit! Possibly a Giant Quince? Don't think it is a melon as I grew a couple a few years back which fruited in UK in a polytunnel, and they will grow along the ground unless you train them up a frame or a string. Super picture, lovely light and colours.

It's not a melon for sure! It was the same size as a melon, same colour as a melon... Just hanging down...
