Still going "on the wall"
From the archives of my trip to Thailand. Don't know if it's a butterfly or a moth... they are not very sharp shots but it's an unusual looking "babe"!
it is unusual! I am wondering if it is a moth! just by the wings sit on it!
We will have to wait on those in the know as to an ID Isabel.
Looks more ''mothy'' to me though !!
Definitely more mothy Interesting captures Isabel !
I say Moff
V3 for me.
Looks like a moth to me, Isabel, well spotted and captured. Carol
3 fine captures Isabel, V2 my favourite,
A type of "moff" I have never seen before - will pop back later to see if we have an ID!
Easy way to tell moths and butterflies apart.....Butterflies have bulbs on the end on the antennae and moths don't! Moths sometime have feathered antennae, but not always
If you're looking for an ID from me on this one, I haven't a bloody clue....But in my defence it is foreign
a lovely triple well shot i favour V2.
So tis a moth - but not a clue as to which kind! It looks to have a large wingspan!
I 'd say a Moth,but no idea which one.
It's not in my Nature Book and I went on Google images and did not see it there, sorry
Let hope that someone will come to the rescue with an ID.
Anyway it's a great set
Moths rest with their wings open. Butterflies rest with their wings closed. This is a moth, albeit a completely out of focus one.
A nice set.
Hi Chinga three good captures Thogh I have noticed that all of the shots are a bit soft.I suspect the images are taken hand held and at one eighth of a second that would be far to slow.
I would suggest a minimum speed of one sixtieth and if needed you could always use a bit higher ISO.This is just a thought as to where I would be going if these were my images.
Thank you for your kind comments and advice. All taken on board. And this is a moth hum? Interesting, she was quite large... Isabel
