Odd things we find when we explore London's Parks.
This two were spotted last month in Holland Park. Anyone know what is it?
Don't ask me - I am from South Africa Three lovely and interesting images Isabel !!
Searched high and low and cana't find anything similar, Isabel. Were they beneath a tree, by any chance? Carol
Look a bit like something called Chinese Lanterns - depends on size.
Good picture of them whatever they are, Isabel.
Had to smile that V3 had green it it... Did you open it to look inside...was it a soft covering or a hard husk . So basically I have no idea either
Other than seed pods, my searches have found nothing to match - well spotted and captured.
Peter's right, we have them here, always known as Chinese lanterns. No idea of the genus. Well spotted. Peter.
Great colour and texture Isabel, not too good at flower and plant ID, or I would go further and say flaming useless.
Don't ask me Isabel.
I am just a simple Scotsman !!
Good shots though.
Nicely found and taken. Reckon it's Chinese Lantern (Physalis) too.
My vote is for Chinese Lanterns too
i will just say they are lovely images.
v 1 for me lovely detail. christine
Beautiful captures of this beautiful plant, Isabel! Great details and textures!
I thought at first glance it was physalis. Well spotted.
Looks a bit like a long Chinese Lantern, Isabel.
I love the detail, especially V1.
nice set of images , as for identification I'm no good with plants etc , but I'd say they deffinatly not bananas unless they in disguise
yes,its different all variants are well captured.
Sorry, no good with plants, Isabel.
Super sharp images for those who are good at botany though!
To me, they look like what we have called Japanese lanterns. I grew them once......not for long. They are terribly invasive. And beautiful. Great shots, Isabel.
Beautiful plants for photography - they do look like chinese Lanterns.
