What's it locking? Who left it there? Why the lock? Did someone loose the key?
Make your own story... This is a railling to St Paul's Cathedral's inner garden in the City... and I bet if you walk over today that lock is still there... Got me thinking... Grin

Why indeed!
When I looked at the thumbnail of this picture, it looked like a row of people!
Perhaps a Cathedral employee leaves his bike there.
Good photograph anyway, Isabel.

Not too rusty Isabel,
so a recent addition indeed.
And suitable for St Pauls.
Can't have any of these cheap plastic ones I suppose !!

Come on! The lock is to stop the chain from being stolen! Even I know that, nice one Isabel and still a touch of green there.

Regards

Trev.

Well spotted, Isabel. Ready to secure a bicycle I reckon - as long as there is a proper top to the railing and not just more spikes, the lock and chain would get stolen! GrinGrin

The shape of the chain just looks like a heart. So in our culture, this would express the love to somebody .

If the bike's already been stolen then the lock's there to protect the chain so perhaps the question is,,,Why the chainWinkWinkWink
That will give me something to think about on the way to work.

Nice picture.
Dave.
