The hosta leaves make a great background, Brian, I like them almost as much as I like the beetle. Love the way his back leg is clinging onto the leaf on the right.

It looks like you had a whole hosta good images of this cardinal beetle then Brian, I think you picked the right one as this one is superbly composed and the beetle is pin sharp and so vividly coloured
