One I'll set up again but it does take a lot of patience and time, so not for a week or two. Wink One of four versions although not included here as they are not finished.

For anyone interested, the camera is a working Thornton Pickard Half Plate from around 1910.

A wonderfully crafted Still Life, one which is full of both photographic quality and interest from many angles.

And cheers Janet - believe it or not I've had every thing in this photo for months and months and finally got around to using them. Mainly due to it being, and it sounds odd, a long set up.

I was looking at a Kodak Panoram No1 camera today - the chap in the shop is going to find out the price for me (he's selling it on behalf of someone else) but I suspect it's going to be expensive. I was hoping he didn't know what it was and would flog it to me for 50 - fat chance Smile

It looks in good nick and is apparently in working order so I'm sure it will be too much. Just think of all the junk I could buy for 150 plus Smile

30/40 buys a nice folding camera, which would be much more photogenic than a box camera.

At least I do have a Kodak Autographic camera which is quite pretty and an Ensign Ful Vue which though not pretty is quite fun!

I like the way that the elements and lighting direct my eye towards the portrait of the woman. Very difficult to include so many interesting items and yet still make a focal point so clear I would imagine. You have pulled it off well Keith. Excellent image.

Love it Keith, so much depth, tying in the hand tinting for the photo is special. Only minor niggle is the bureau edge cutting in in top left hand corner. Strangely I don't mind it as such, but it doesn't really give framing to the picture (which is I guess your aim), a fraction more would have.

No, its just there. Someone sat not far from me, didn't so much not like it as hate it. Wink

The next one has both edges and is intended as framing stop.
