Another quiet corner of Perouge. Anyone who has ever been in rural France around lunchtime, broadly 12 noon 'til 3pm or so, will know the feeling. It's a bit like the Marie Celeste, apart from Cafes and Restaurants, there's just nobody visible, not even a cat or a dog.

Am thoroughly enjoying this series of Perouges shots. This is another good one, the exposure is very good retaining detail in the shadows under harsh lighting conditions. Masses of texture and detail, and I love the splashes of colour afforded by the flowers and terracotta plant pots. A lovely image.

Edit - a must view large to fully appreciate all the intricate details of this fine image.
Very well controlled exposure and the large version does need to be looked at. Very attractive image.
The Marie Celeste effect is even worse in Crete villages at the moment - goes on from about one 'til seven - makes me want to scream! ![]()
I love rural France and this brings back happy memories. Well captured.

Another very nice posycardish image.
Don't take the postcard part as a bad thing.
