A shot taken back in June on the beach at Swanage. A change from mushrooms. Sepia toned because real sepia (ink) comes from . . . cuttlefish!
For anybody interested in typefaces, I used one called Earwig Factory on this.
I hope you enjoy.

A very good composition, wonderful texture and tones.
well, I didn't know that!
The sea looks very inviting.
A nice simple image, sepia suits it well.
Nice textures,looks good in sepia.
Love the mono look, Chris. Really nice work!
(Not so sure about the 'ransom note' lettering in the frame, though....)
Well seen and very nicely photographed
Just having a laugh with the typeface. I bought 4,500 faces for £5 over the internet the other day, and feel obliged to use some of them after such a major outlay. ;–))
Oh! and a footnote. Cuttlefish are called "quiddle" in Weymouth, and possibly other areas of Dorset.
The toning works very nicely and the dynamics of the tide-line, holds the whole thing together. I'm not convinced that these fonts actually enhance images, but I am all for experimentation. Interesting description too.
I'm not overly fond of the text either, but if you've shelled out a fiver then you gotta use them. Text aside, this is a fine image. Quirky but interesting.
Excellent tones and textures Chris.
i love what you did w/ the presentation , very different...
Excellent image, great tones and well presented
Lovely textures and tones. Well composed.
And now I'm caged with birds.
Like the feel of this one Chris and the comp is grand
Thanks everyone. I like the warm sunny feel of it 'cos it's getting a bit chilly here lately. A frost on the car this morning for the first time this winter.
Lovely texture in the wet sand Chris
excellent composition and exposure. Nice study in light shade and texture.
