I think you need to fill it up Christine, that's why his head is down, not a bad shot through glass! once you fill the feeder things should get more easy, regards Leon.GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

In agreement with Leon here...................... Keep on going, nice capture, You could straighten the verticals and crop away the brown twig on the right, that would improve the compSmile Nice dof ChristineGrin

Your doing great Christine, Dont let the window put you off, some of my best shots are through my double glazed kitchen window, have a look at the shot of "Goldfinch" in my portfolio, its all down to try try and try again.
Best regards, Alf.

Good to see you having another go, Christine.
It depends what you are after, I suppose, but if you could avoid having a bird feeder in your shot, all the better.
Last time, I mentioned honing your camera upon a conveniently placed perch near to the feeder, where the bird will land before going to the feeder.
Also, timing again......be patient and wait for the bird to look up or "pose" nicely for you.
Don't forget stability, too....a tripod or firm base for your camera.
Pamela.
