With my funny beak

There are a lot of stunning bird images on this site, for me they never sit still long enough to capture anything decent so I thought I would have a try at manipulating an image.

Thank you for the CC's on my previous upload.
Special thanks to Myrab for the UA.
All are appreciated

I like this ,what ISO speed was you using as the noise is very high?

You have retained the plumage detail well in your processed image, Christine, nicely done.

Indeed, an impressive bit of manipulation: any noise will be more evident after this close crop from the original.

Its not the iso that is responsible for the high noise more the amount the image as been cropped.

You have put in a lot of work to isolate the bird and single branch and have archived a nice result. - gary

i would have only time and patience to crop the image and slightly blur the background, nicely worked, Christine.

Pretty good with such a big crop!
It makes you appreciate other bird images when you start taking your own.
The bird photographers would have trouble emulating your images though!

I don't think it is the high ISO it has been cropped significantly and sharpened, this has happened on some of my images too. A fine long range shot and good work in photoshop to remove those twigs
