It is unusual but true to character, this plant will wrap itself around anything and everything: nice bot of planning behind this one.

Interesting idea and good work but a few edges showing. I find it easier to use a tablet if I'm doing selections but some people are happy with a mouse. A

Potentially this is a great image, however I little refinement here and there. In order to prevent unsightly rough edges I normally opt for the Mask Tool when I am cutting out images, I find that I have far more control and it gives a nice soft edge with is easier to blend into the other layer.

This is how to do it:

In Adobe Photoshop

1. Type (Q) from keyboard (this will take you to the quick mask mode)

2. Now pick a brush, make sure your color palette has only default (Solid Black/White) colors. Black is to choose the selected area, while White is for removing. You can choose the brush size/softness as you want. i.e. if you want sharp edges you can select the sharp edge brush.

3. Select the areas you may want them to be cut-out from the picture. (Don't worry about the RED color appearing on canvas it is to help you to differentiate the selection).

4. Now you are finished with selecting the area, type (Q) from the keyboard again. You will see a selection of what you have made. If it's inverse of what you need Type (Ctrl+Alt+I) from Keyboard or go into 'select' from window menu and find 'Inverse Selection' option

5. Copy and Paste the object from here to your required file (pick a new file as master and paste the objects one by one there to make a montage).

Regards Nathan

P.S. A good idea is to have a printed sheet with the Short Cut Command on it in front of you, you will quickly learn them. I laminated mine just in case my cat Snoops knocked my coffee over....

Christine I'm sure you know most of what has already been suggested!
A fantastic image of a plant nobody wants in their garden but perfect for curling round your bottle.
Very well done.
