I spent the month of September backpacking and photographing the spectacular fall colors and mountain ranges of the Yukon Territory in Canada's North, as well as the majestic mountain ranges and turquoise blue lakes of the Canadian Rockies. It was an amazing time and only reinforced my love and appreciation of the outdoors.
A scene of vast proportions, the foothills of Tombstone National Park's jagged mountain range, covered in amazingly colorful autumn tundra, glow as they are spotlit during a cloudy late afternoon. For a sense of scale, note the pine trees on the second ridge from the front. Tombstone mountain itself lurks ominously in the background, only to be pointed out by a short and serendipitous opening in the sky almost right above it.
