It had been raining and cloudy for several days in the Thousand Islands region close to Kingston, Ontario. The weather forecast predicted breaking clouds in the morning.
I availed myself of the opportunity and visited an area of the St. Lawrence River, Thousand Islands Region, which I had intended to photograph in good light.
The light certainly was good, in fact quite exquisite. As it broke through the clearing clouds, I scrambled to find a decent composition and took several shots. I found this exposure particularly appealing and I like how the reeds, which I originally found intrusive, frame the image.
