Great tones and lighting in this shot, lovely model and that wouldn't be an old Tokai I see, would it? (In which case, nice guitar too!)

It's really great treatment for the subject, and I like the frame you've used - enhances the image nicely. Maybe the colours are a little vivid to be 'old' though?

Orange pillar? Oh yeah, I see it now! Wonderful shot though!

The 'blues.....'

Awesome lighting - I'd be very interested to find out what lighting setup you used? The image works really well, and I really like the way the outline of the guitar is highlighted with the binding.

One very minor point is the small flash of the red strap that is poking through from underneath the neck - I might have cloned it out. Other than that, spot on!

And the bad playing? Looks like a 'D' shape but played at the 3rd fret... Might explain why it sounds like a plate of pancakes! Wink

I agree, it's a good abstract. It would have been loads better if the platform was in focus though. Just my 2p worth...

Very simple but very effective too. Lovely shot.

Love the colouring on this one!

Howard,

I prefer this one to the acoustic you posted. Probably because I'm more into electrics myself! (I knew it was an Aria before reading the description!)

Like it (partly cos it's an old Corvette!) but it looks like he's going in reverse...

I guess Nana had been eating her right hand or something, judging by the trail on Che's right knee. Brilliant shot though - gets my vote!

I like both the sepia and the colour versions. Can't decide which is better though - the sepia tones are great, but the colour one is more attention-grabbing.

Nice! I've always enjoyed pics of HMS Victory for some reason, and I think you've caught it quite well. (Not sure if using a polariser would have helped to get rid of the window reflections though.)

Really good series of images, Dave. Technically they look spot on to me, and Rose is a great model. Striking all round, to say the very least! Click

What everyone else has said! Great portrait!

Vintage Euro

Agreed - gorgeous model. I like the exposure too. As for the vintage feel - her hair and clothes look too up-to-date in this shot. Considering the age of the car (Volvo from the 60s?), the shot would work better if she were styled accordingly...

Just my opinion, of course...
