Thank you, debated on a tighter crop but quite like them coming from the right
adds fun!
This is a superb image, full of life, fun and energy. Just be careful with lady's hair, it's usually longer than mens and can easily get in their eyes. In portraiture you tend to look at the eyes before anything else, so if there is hair covering it it can be a little distracting. You've just about got away with it here but only just. I'm sure they weren't perfectly still when you took this so you can be excused just this once!
It's still an excellent, fun shot of 4 fun girls!
There's a photographer on ephotozine called JaneyO and I thought this was one of hers (Her work is simply stunning by the way). Check out her portfolio when you get chance. Strangely one of her images is called "Here Come The Girls!"

Hopefully JaneyO will inspire you. Her portfolio puts everyone to shame I think (especially mine!)

I suppose you are quite right ....but ...I find that perfect hair doesn't seem natural in these kind of shots. In real life peoples hair does things with a life of it's own , and when it is is perfectly in place ,it does lose the natural spontanaity of the moment, especially with kids .
This shot captures the fun and spontinaity really well .great work

Hi Kev,
Yes I suppose your right, I don't think hair should be perfect in a fun shot like this, all I meant is it should avoid the eyes (if possible), it won't be perfect due to the movement (and hopefully giggling!) but Claire has certainly got away with it in this shot as I can clearly count 8 eyes (albeit not whole ones!)
Andrew.
