Spent a most enjoyable few hours this morning walking around Epping Forest with greyheron trying to keep one step ahead of the many many mushroom pickers we encountered Sad

I think this is one of the varieties of Inkcap. Off camera flash and reflector used to provide some much needed light down on the forest floor.
Many thanks for looking

A beautiful shot. Not only the fantastic focus on the fungi, but the background is wonderful too.

(I spent a very frustrating hour trying to capture fungi, all mine seem to grow in the darkest, most cluttered, dank areas they can find!!)

Foreground, background and subject are all beautifully captured and rendered Clive. A truly outstanding image. No hesitation giving this my UA.

So good to see you got something from the day Clive - despite the best efforts of the Eastern European truggies to decimate the population of fungi in these beautiful woods Sad
