This is Roger Barker who is the Steam Train Driver for the Sir Nigel Gresley based in Grosmont, North Yorkshire. At the EPZ meet a few of us were fortunate enough to get a little bit of access to Roger and his team to capture some photographs.

This is one of the set of images I took whilst we were up at Grosmont - you can see more in my folio or what the group produced at the Members Meeting section under N Yorks Coast in October. If you have time it is worth a look to see the variety and where similar the different perspective each of us have taken including differences in processing the images.

This is Roger doing some maintenance on the Sir Nigel Gresley in the Steam Shed at Grosmont.

I think this picture is really beautiful. The textures of the man's skin and the wooden pole really contrast with the shiny metal. Good stuff!

Lovely composition, the mono works well bringing the cold of the steel to the image and showing the facial texture.
