Just a simple shot seen today whilst out in Southport.
Alison's continued passion with Living Social had unearthed an afternoon tea for two for nine pound coins at the Alexandra and Victoria Hotel on the sea front. So as the snow had completely melted away overnight we decided a run to Southport to take advantage of this voucher would be a grand plan for a Sunday afternoon! Taking a walk in the wintry sunshine, Southport looked a little faded and sad with lots of the seaside attractions understandably closed but also in need of a fresh lick of paint and general tlc. There are a series of bronze symbols on huge posts and this one captured my eye against the almost cloudless blue sky. A burst of colour against the muted shades at eye level. It sort of said welcome to Southport to me and suggested warmer days!
Comments welcome as always. Thanks for clicking and taking the time to look.

Love everything about the shot. I think the angle really adds something to it. Seagull is great too, adds a sense of perspective.
I might have been tempted to ramp the saturation of the sky up a bit in PS, but that's just me.
great capture, don't understand why you don't have more votes to be honest :-(
