Continuing the images from Whitby on Bank Holiday Monday. Generally I feel the more common birds are largely ignored in the pictorial sense. Count the number of Robins, Blue Tits, Chaffinch etc compared to the Crow, Raven, Gulls and I am sure you will know what I mean. Not a scientific study just a gut feel from the bird images I see on the site.

This little fella sat and weighed me up for a while allowing me to capture a couple of frames. I guess he was waiting to see if there were any crumbs to be had!

Any comments welcome and thanks for looking.

I like the out of focus buildings at the other side of the harbour, it compliments the gull perfectly.

Gary.

Came back to this image and really disapointed to see it has not taken off. It is so well put together with the hints of the background just doing enough to tell us it could be Whitby and probably not Falmouth. Nice to see as you suggest one of the more common birds getting the spotlight treatment too.

Robert
