Early morning view of Whitby's well photographed west pier. No sunrise and this was taken just after the dawn light broke.
Very muted colours and visualised this in mono when I took it. After conversion I decided to tone it with a hint of blue to recreate the mood of the morn.
This is from the EPZ North Yorks Coast meet - you can see a lot of the images from the group taken that day by clicking on Members Meetings and then North Yorks Coast (in October). Really interesting to see the different perspectives on the same subject matter.
This was captured pre-mocha (before we all met up and a reference to Leigh's penchant for Mocha Coffee!)
Converted in CS3, toned, slight increase in contrast and sharpened.
Thank you for looking and C&C welcome.

Stunning shot, The toning compliments the scene brilliantly.

Ian
So while some were out on the pier not getting wet, others were near the pier getting soaked, you were on the beach bagging an absolute cracker. Well chosen processing. The blue reflects the colours that were about in the sea and sky, and the lead in from the wave trail on the long exposure couldn't be better.
Cheers,
Phil
Good to see a different angle on this one, I think the b & W suits very well.
