Yes this is a C130 Hercules, I used to work on these when I was in the RAF, but not this particular mark. However it is not a air to air tanker, it is a gun ship. The refueling probe that you see at the front of the aircraft is for when it refuels in mid air from an air to air refueler. The two large pods you see under each wing are external fuel tanks which give it more range.

It seems that you have got what is called Halo effect on the HDR image. You can get rid of this by reducing the luminousity. The sky looks pretty flat anyway, so there is probably not much you can do with it apart from make it a little darker to give it some texture
