Phil and I went to the Toughguy event yesterday. We met up with Colin Beeley (who kindly gave us his spare car park pass), TonyD3 and Richsr.

It was an enjoyable day watching these toughguys/toughgirls jumping into balls-shrinking ice cold muddy ponds, jumped over balls-toasting field of fire, getting through tyres tunnel...... Completely and utterly bonkers.

Sorry Tom, we only decided to go around 10pm the night before as we were told by the organizer (by email) that public and photographers were not welcome. That put us off.

That's ok Cole. I want to get back to it, but struggling to find the time at the minute. I will do though, eventually. Amazing image btw, with nice mud and muted colours.

Fantastic. Captured just at the right moment at the top of the ditch, and his facepaint makes him look even more determined. Terrific understated colour and great misty b/g. Can't fault this.

I find the event interesting, and plenty of opportunities for photography. When they got to this area - The Killing Field, they were already half dead. Not something I would take part in, but I respect them for their courage.

Great Shot. I went a year or so ago but was told that photographers would not be let in anymore. Did you have any problems getting in ?

Roger, not a single problem, no one ever approached us. And there were plenty of photographers in it, some with huge lenses!
They did say the same thing to us by email, but we ignored it and glad we did.
