That backlighting on the wing shows just how light, thin and delicate those wings and feathers are. The soft background/reeds make the owl stand out perfectly so great use of depth of field to produce a very powerful image. Have my award with absolute pleasure

WOW. THAT is a BEAUTIFUL shot. The lighting is SPOT ON. The colors mesh and provide cohesion with the subject and background... that is just gorgeous!
