Here's our friend Erik Danielsson of Swedish black metal band, Watain performing at Bloodstock Open Air Festival this weekend just passed.
Lawless Darkness is the name of their last studio album, hence the title. More pictures from their performance can be seen here on Thrashhits.com.

Brilliant shot, wonderfully crisp and energetic love the stage lighting positions in relation to the performer.
the man's face is most of it.. and the rest just compliments it brilliantly enough.. a complete and perfect band shot..
Quote: Personally I'd have liked more flames
Yeah, more flames needed! And maybe a later time slot! Didn't they switch with Dio's Disciples as it was allegedly "too light" for Black Metal!?
Brilliant weekend for it, and only a little shower on the Sunday. Personal highlights were Iced Earth, Alice, Sanctuary, and Reign Of Fury on the unsigned tent stage. They were bloody ace!

Yes they did... and I agree. Watching them at sunset was just about right, for me at least. Nile were my highlight. Karl Sanders didn't stop smiling all day ![]()
It's odd that considering how many awards have been given to this shot, there are so few views & votes. I'd have expected much more activity, which it deserves. Whether you like the music or not, you can still appreciate the technical ability.
Well done on an excellent image, & congrats on the awards.
Haha. POTW? ![]()
I think gig pictures (especially niche stuff like this) get very few votes/views as people like to look at stuff they can relate to, and do themselves. I just like to share the odd one from time to time. ![]()
Haha. Depends on what you class as 'The Nice Stuff'. I may stick one of Mayhem up later if I get time.
I'm a wildlife girl but saw this and it definately has impact. Wow. Amazing shot ![]()
