First foray with my new (s/h) Nikon D100. Love the camera. These snipe come out into the open a couple of hours before sunset and bath in the glorious light of the magic hour, I am having a great time with them right now.

This is excellent, so clear ! I find it hard to get close enough to small birds like this, I will have to persevere.

Great shot - these little birds are so shy - usually only see a blur of wings disappearing!

Well, you've certainly got the hang of the new camera. Really nice image.

Wow great shot! Fantastic colours, pin sharp all over. Love the slight ripple effect on the reflection.

Very envious of this shot. All I have is a few dull grey shots when they are out on the mud. Having them in the water with the blue sky reflected gives a fantastic image!

I like the composition. The ripples really finish the shot nicely.

Colin a super image. When these birds decide to show, they are a treat to photograph, arent they?

Nice one!

Used to spend hours waiting for them to do their zig-zag flight pattern...that was many years ago in Derbyshire..A fine shot Colin considering the distance
