Self portrait for buddies critiqueI think the black and white image is stronger than the colour version. The colour (to me) is too orange, I dont know if this was the effect you were trying to achieve.
I agree with Phil, a slightly different tighter crop might work better, I personally like the backdrop, sometimes plain ones are that, too plain. This one has a bit of detail in it but I dont think it detracts anything from the model.
Overall, a great image, look forward to seeing more.

Portrait 7I think the lighting is superb, maybe a slightly closer crop could have been better, with the face to the left side of the image, that said lets no take anything away from the quality, ie lighting and model, that this shot is. I love it, and think its worthy of greater attention.

AmyIts a clever idea with good use of depth of field. However, and its just a personal opinion, I wonder if the crop is a bit too tight, and for me, I would re take and try not to let the little finger drop so low.
That said, its still a cracking image and is also an excellent mono shot.
