Good morning.....
My first ever capture of a tiny ladybird in the garden this week (well I think it is) she was the size of a matchstick head and the little bud the size of a finger nail. I didnt have my tripod with me so its handheld.
Have a nice day Grin

Hand held? That's a fantastic shot, Colleen.
Good job you could use a fast shutter.
Never seen a black ladybird.

I normally do use a fast shutterspeed when handheld but have to use fast shutter speeds in Cape Town the wind is mostly blowing....today its so windy not even the fastest shutter speed would help. It may be just a little beetle Peter, will wait for the experts to ID it

Morning Colleen. No wind here but cloudySmile We have the annual Berrie festival at a Berry farm today, so I hope the rain stays away ! A lovely image Colleen - unfortunately no ID on the bug - maybe a juvenile lady Smile

She's tiny, Colleen, I've spotted similar here, but never been able to ID it. The little bud looks like a blue felicia, though. Very well captured. Carol

Handheld is tricky when going in this close, Colleen, and you've done really well here. Very nice SmileSmile

And of course I adore that background.

Sorry, Colleen, misread yesterday's description, 'last of the Agapanthus'...
... thought it was the last of your uploads before going to Australia, with no laptop Sad
Note to self, 'clean glasses before viewing computer'. Smile
A superb image today and well taken, handheld - it's as sharp as a razor.

Delightful shot of a lovely little bug.

I use shutter speed priority at fast speeds a lot because I live in a very well named place called Windhill!

I find it very difficult with my feet Smile
excellent shot and yes that is the right strategy with windy flower heads. and insects. While the lady wouldn't move fast, the plant does!
