Good morning...
Thank you to you all for your votes and comments on my warthogs and to Fred 263 and Patty (pentaxpatty) for their UA,s much appreciated.

A leopard and her kill today.....
Leopard prey varies from dung beetles, rodents, birds, hares, impala and even adult elands which can reach 900kg. They generally focus their hunting activity on locally abundant medium-sized species in the 20 to 80 kg range, while opportunistically taking other prey. average intervals between kills range from seven to 12 days. They drag their kills into trees to avoid it being taken by other predators. They can haul a carcass of a young giraffe estimated to weigh up to 125kg up a tree. They kill through suffocation by grabbing their prey by the throat and biting down with their powerful jaws. They rarely fight other predators for their food.
They other versions show her in the tree with her kill and also what was left of it the following day.
Have a nice day....

A kill in the tree.
A great find and it ticks all my boxes of a wildlife image.

Well spotted ...she had small cubs hidden away, but we didn't look for them...the Rangers do not like to disturb them and draw attention to them .

I'm surprised that you were not attacked believing that you want to take the loot! (Judging by the focal length you were not too far!)
Sorry for the prey in the tree!
A small request would be difficult to put an approximate location (is somehow a national park or is just as in nature)?

We were very close Silviu but totally trust our Ranger and Tracker as they know how close they can go without annoying the animals. It is a Private game reserve called Thornybush....you can either google Thornybush Collection or go directly to our game lodge website www.waterbuckgamelodge.co.za
The reserve is approximately 16,000 acres and is closed to the general public. One has to have a reservation at one of the private lodges to gain access to the reserve. We have the Big 5 on the reserve and it run with very strict wildlife guidelines.
