The exposure is very close to perfect as the moon light is reflecting on the water, just slightly lighter would have maybe been better as that would have just given you a lighter reflection but thats just nit picking. As far as the 3rd and 5th rules are concerned this is spot on with the land 1/3 and the sky 2/3.. The position of the moon is also perfect as this is not in the center of the image, very well done. As far as the yacht's are concerned the mast and hull's are in perfect position and are also off to one side and not in the center of the pic, again very well done. I see some huge improvements. I also see you shut in manual and that alone is a credit to your ability to of understanding. I hope you are happy with my comments, but even more important that you are happier with the results of your effort after such a short time
As I said I don't know your Camera model but if you wanted to improve this image you can get closer to the hull of the boat. Also even shooting at a slightly earlier time would have helped with more color. I see your shutter speed was very slow and yet the pic is still sharp. Bloody well done. I need you to answer the questions I asked yesterday as this is most important and relates to the quality of your Photography.
Enjoy your evening Colleen.
Kind Regards, John
