Good morning......
Thank you for your votes and comments on my birds yesterday and to those who helped ID the terns.
Apologies for only voting yesterday, I had a dinner party to plan yesterday, it went well last night, hence my late upload.
I am going to subject you to more of my bird photography....The fishing is excellent in Pelican bay, the fishermen were pulling out 15kg kabeljou. I walked to the cleaning tables to look and I was not alone, there were lots of pelicans and seagulls looking for scraps. It was almost too hard to get decent images of them as they were on top of each other.
V2 catch of the day
V3 a group of pelicans watching the fishermen who were throwing scraps to them.
V3 another pelican with fish blood on his chest
Have a nice day....

Super capture in V1 Colleen, lovely colour and a very intense expression.
Amazing how such a small head supports such a larg beak. Love the lighting in V2.
Cant see v3 yet, will pop back later.

Dave.

Very nice photo set. Always loved pelicans ( we have a lot here especially in the Danube Delta). Especially I like the first and the third pictures in your set. And what a more suitable subject for illustrating the Pelican Bay rather than this one?GrinGrinGrin

An exceptionally fine set Colleen, v1 is a wonderful pelican portrait and one of your best avian images. I like the way they are all lined up expectantly in v3 waiting for the fishermen to throw them some of their unwanted fish they'd netted
