Yesterday we visited the Vatican City State and was blown away by the sheer magnificence of the sculptures and art work.
The Bramante staircase is a double helix staircase situated in the Vatican museums.It is made of two intertwined spirals, one leads down, he other goes upwards. The stairs are beautifully decorated. The ramp is truly breathtaking. It was designed by Giuseppe Momo in 1932 A canopy located above provides the necessary light to illuminate the staircase. The bright light did make it hard for photography. I have included a few different povs...
