Sadly when I went looking for leaves and fungi there wasn't much fungi about, so this is
my second fungus upload and all I have. Thank you all so much for votes and comments on yesterdays
which ValeryAst indentified as Honey Fungus and assures me they are delicious to eat.
Whether you all love mushrooms or it was a better image, I'm not sure but it did better than any of my Leaf image .
Raining up here in Scotland todaySad.

Snap.......we are on the same wavelength today, Kate: and a perfect specimen, so well captured here.
We have been most fortunate this year in that there have been a plethora of fungi in Pollok Country Park but you do have to plotter through the forest floor to find some.
Very well done with one, captured on the bend as it were.
Ronnie.

Super Autumnal shot with great light and detail.

Since we are all comparing weather, it is still hot and sunny here, so I had to improvise an outdoor kitchen for my chutney making today - far too hot to do it indoors.

An exceedingly fine specimen which you have photographed so expertly. I went looking for fungi myself in a local wood on Friday morning, I too did not find as many as i have done in previous years, unfortunately the ancient beech tree which normally has numerous different species growing on it was fenced off as it posed a risk to peoples health as it is in grave danger of falling, if we get the predicted storms tonight it may no longer be still standing when i next visit the site!Sad
