156 (210)Hi
The weather so often mentioned in the Uk as a topic of major conversation is also a major bonus or a major headache for togs.I have two nightshifts for the next two and would like to go out and capture some local stuff during the day, but there has been a severe weather warning for the South East, ice snow and freezing cold tempratures. In and of itself not a problem, take the necessary precautions , warm clothing, gloves and hat a hot thermos of coffee... but , yes there had to be a but, the roads leading to the one or two areas I would like to go to .... they have not been gritted and in honesty they are not areas I could easily walk to. Will see in the am just how bad the weather really is and then make the decisions.
I feel sorry for so many folks literally trapped within their own homes as stated in an earlier blog due to poor planning by councils to salt/grit pavements. As one tv pundit said in amongst the garbage he normally speaks if you have an elderly relative/friend/neighbour pay them an extra visit and make sure they are ok, and not running short on the staples .... only takes a few minutes but better that than a worst case scenario....
Till next time
Colin
