I urge large and for window users f11 and ctrl+ ..... for mac user large and cmd+

Many thanks for the comment and votes on Help! ,and indeed a few other images , all votes and positive comment that can encourage and improve are gratefully received and truly appreciated. Colin and Mari

An excellent close-up, Colin, showing so much detail (including the need for a good teeth clean!). Carol

in doing a photo like this Colin (hope you wont mind me mentioning) you need the nose in full (its cut short) you also need the teeth with slightly more room, if needed a little of the bottom jaw as well and less of the head to the left but a great idea to be practised upon will make a better shot next time, might also be worth including the eye

AND I am one of the biggest offenders I am not practised enough myself but think it was worth pointing out

Well taken shot, but I think It would be better with less of a tight crop. As Ann said above, with the teeth, nose and eyes in the frame,

I agree with some of the above comments, although not cropped the comp is too tight IMHO. The detail is all there and perfectly sharp but no character. Sorry but I do think the eyes are an integral part of any animal portrait.

This may not be to everyone's taste but I'm pretty darn sure we're all to HIS taste.

I actually thinks this works, Colin. It's a completely new and unique take on lions, this kind of close-up.

Perhaps it could do with some contrast and deepening of shadows, though, 'cos it looks a bit 'snowy'. Might have also worked better with a complete nose.

But who nose...hohoho (you're going to feed me to the lions now, aren't you?)
