About Me
Most of my images are found with 45 minutes drive from my front door, occasionally (very occasionally) I'll take an image from inside the house, so I'm not exactly well travelled. I am lucky. On my doorstep is loch lomond, the ayrshire coast and the trossachs. Recurring themes and no apologies either.
I started this stuff late 2005, and still use the same panasonic compact (prosumer if I get sniffy about it). Prior to being bitten by the photography bug, I vented my frustration on my faithful WACOM tablet and concentrated on digital illustration and paintwork. So I probably understand a little more about imaging software than the technical aspects of photography. Ignorance is bliss. My influences are the impressionist movement, Monet and Manet mainly, rather than any specific photographer, although one commentator on this site has pointed me in the direction of Michael Kenna, (my photographic ignorance knows no bounds). His work is inspirational. So thank you Phil Newmann.
I hope you like what you see, and importantly point out what think can be improved
