What a day! Up at 5am to leave for RIAT at Fairford only to find that when we get there it starts pouring of rain. Flying displays did not start until 12noon when they were due to start at 10. Stood in the rain for 2 hours getting soaked through to the skin until Dad finally gave in and bought a shelter, guess what, half an hour later the rain stops and the cloud starts to lift. Yes! we can finally get some good pics! Then not only were we blessed with the stopping of the rain but also what followed was a lovely blue sky which turned one of the worst days into one of the best! I have many more photos to share with you from RIAT that I am very chuffed with.
Thanks for all previous c&c
Connor
P.S thanks Sue for the lovely sausage casserole that warmed us all up when we got home!

Nice shot Connor, I particularly like the afterburners. By the way, the guys at BAE including one of my mates hate it being called Eurofighter. As far as they are concerned it's just Typhoon. And you're lucky you can get the shot, as the RAF never brings the Typhoon to Blackpool airshow 'cos they're made round here I suppose. So we only get the odd glimpse as test aircraft roar off across the Irish Sea.
I'm looking forward to the rest of your shots.
Alan

I suggest you get yourself a RIAT ticket for next year. You don't know what you're missing out on. This year is the 3rd time I have seen it and everytime they do something different and it always amazes me.
