120 (164)So we've been doing our best lately to leave helpful critique on photos in the Gallery.
Some have liked the feature that allows others to nominate comments on photos as helpful critique, and they have exhausted themselves in writing whole novels, almost - especially about pictures in the Critique Gallery.
I thought I'd join the crowd and leave some comments here and there, too. And a mod or two, where applicable. Sometimes I even felt I was saying quite a lot - with several comments running into more than one paragraph. That's pretty good for me. And I really felt I was giving some good pointers.
But then other members came along and wrote prose of Shakespearean proportions, making my comments look totally insignificant and insufficient!
Now, I don't mind others being wordy. It's their time and energy they're putting into it. But, even though I hate to admit it, some of them see things I totally miss! And then they'll write umpteen paragraphs explaining how to fix it. Very impressive!
I thought my critiques were helpful. And I suppose they are, although those with the authority to judge them probably don't always agree. But others' critiques often are more helpful. And some of them are most helpful.
Whoever said all critiques were equal? Some are clearly more equal than others!
