Modern technology gives us ever more multifunctional devices, and mobile phones are an obvious example of that.
Having a mobile phone with a built-in camera isn't new, they've been around for years. But enthusiastic photographers using them for (more or less) serious photography is a more recent development. It was bound to happen, of course. Not only have the phones and the cameras become quite good, but there are so many ways now to transfer photos from your phone to your computer, so many apps that make photography with your phone not only handy but downright fun, that this trend makes sense.
So far, I hadn't bothered to use my phone much for this purpose - you won't find a single picture taken with my phone on the Web - I'd taken some photos before with my mobile, but they didn't have real purpose. But that may change soon. Recently I started using my phone to take pictures that I actually had a purpose for, so it's time I transferred them to my pc and checked how usable they really are.
The picture in this blog entry wasn't taken with my phone... (Thanks for posing, Colin!) ![]()

That hadn't gone unnoticed...
In fact, since I'm not totally happy with my current phone I've been looking into the iPhone, and with quite a few participants of the Skye Meet being users of an iPhone 4, I've asked a lot of questions, and am now just about convinced that it's the model I want next.
But in the meantime I have some shots from my Nokia to process...
