271 (1789)Last year I bought a miniature Christmas tree and everything that goes with it: tiny lights, tiny ornaments. It was small, but nice. (I live on only 27 square metres, so have to economise with space.)
This year I was too late when I went for a miniature tree, they were all sold out. So I got myself this Christmas piece, which I thought was rather nice (and about the same size as last year's miniature tree):

The ornaments go well with the accent colours in my interior, which as you can see are mainly purple (and just outside the photo view a few in pink - yes, I know, I'm a man, but there's nothing wrong with liking those colours - and in case you're wondering, my bedroom has mainly blue colours).
I'm quite happy with purple being so much in fashion, you can get all kinds of accessories in purple at very low prices, so it was very easy to be consistent in my choices of interior accessories.
Oh, and speaking of a purple trend, I just read that even purple underwear is outselling red underwear for this Christmas (true fact, despite the funny cartoon I linked to)! Meaningless trivia, of course, but it seemed to fit in well with the title of this blog post...

Very stylish Conrad
I've really downsized the decorations this year, the kids have grown up now and so its a much neater Christmas.
